What started as a Employee reunion with one of my remote working employee, who is based in Mystic, Connecticut 06340. After a long search matching the foods we like, we discovered a hidden gem called Captain Daniel Packer Inne , We had to drive 1hour from Manchester, CT. Driving West towards Hartford we took the exit to Norwich, as we cruised through the weekend traffic, we were enjoying the beautiful Connecticut landscape, as I have to contradict my statement when we first started to move into Connecticut everything seemed so dull and gloomy, now as I live more, there is more to the place than meets the eye. The people here are very deep rooted with lots of Mom & Pop restaurants, residents are very grounded and open hearted for new and old.
Scenic beauty of the restaurant, its sitting beside the parked boat harbor for almost 250 years now, Wow!!!! 250 years, I know exactly when you see anything that old your mind spins of thoughts that are related to history, wow generations through generations this monumental restaurant is serving customers with awesome sea food creations.
Food:: Wow!!! it's one of the best I have ever eaten, we were a team of 4 with little Mathew who is just 5 months old, we started off with ordering appetizers, we had chicken wings with authentic Captain's gingery sauce, we had huge cocktail shrimps, with awesome fish sauce dipping I guess.
If you are one of those food lovers who wouldn't mind paying the price for that awesome taste, you will never go wrong.
